University Technology  of Malaysia

UniversitiTeknologiMalaysia is one of the 13 universities in  Malaysia.  It  has
twocampuses.  The  main  campus  is  located  in Skudai, Johore, with  a land
area of 1,177.00 hectares. It is about 18 kilometers from Johor Bahru city, and
14 kilometers  from  the  Sultan  Ismail  Airport.  The  other  campus  occupies
another 18 hectares of land on the outskirts of the capital city  of  Malaysia, at
Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur. UTM  also manages a campus situated in  Parit
Raja, Batu Pahat, specially to recruit the staff of  Polytechnics. The university
is a unique centre for technological education  and the  largest  of  its  kind in
Malaysia. There are more than 1000 scientists and  technologist, who besides
being academicians,  are  also  dynamically  involved  in  research, publishing
and consultancy  activities. The  students  population  of  about 19,000  follow
                 various courses in science and technology.

ByAir: Regular flights from Johor's Senai Airportconnect the state capital with Kuala Lumpur. Taxis operating at the airportare ready to take you to the campus.

ByRoad: Taxis are a popular and cheap meansof transport. Air-conditioned coaches are also available to and from JohorBahru to other cities in the Peninsular Malaysia.

ByRail: KTM (Malayan Railway) offers numeroustrain services connecting Singapore and other states in Malaysia throughJohor Bahru station.
